EFCC’s Documents For Forensic Reports In Alleged Oil Subsidy Theft Trial Were Photocopies —Witness

A Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja has been told that documents used in carrying out forensic reports in the trial of alleged oil subsidy theft allegation against Walter Wagbasoma and two others by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, were photocopy generated.
Wagbasoma is facing trial alongside Adaoha Ugo-Ndagi, Fakuade Babafemi, a staff of Petroleum Pricing Regulatory Authority, PPPRA, and his firm, Ontario Oil and Gas Limited.

This disclosure was made before Justice Lateefa Okunnu by the defence witness, Raphel Onwuzurigbo, under cross examination by the lead prosecution counsel, Rotimi Jacobs (SAN).

According to the witness, Onwuzurigbo relied on photocopy specimen in carrying out scientific analysis of the signature on the document.

“I don’t know the generation of the photocopy of specimen which I used for the scientific analysis,” he said.
