One person was killed and about 20 others sustained injuries when a three-storey building under construction collapsed at Eziora village, Adazi-Ani in Anaocha local council area of Anambra yesterday.

Vanguard reports that the building, jointly owned by Mr. Uche Okeke and his five siblings who are children of the transport magnet, Chief GU Okeke, was at the completion stage when it collapsed.

It was gathered that over 25 persons were working on the site when the incident occurred and at the time of filing this report, one person was still trapped under the rubble.

Lagos state government, has unveiled a Coroner to investigate the cause of the Synagouge Church of all Nations SCOAN, six storey building collapse in Ikotun area of the state.
This was made known in a statement issued on Friday, by the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Ade Ipaye, a copy obtained by The Nation.

A nurse, identified as Jackson Namunya Tali, was on Thursday sentenced to death by a Kenyan High Court after being found guilty of performing illegal abortion on a lady who later bled to death five years ago.
