Reno Omokri, former aide of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, says President Muhammadu Buhari lied on his claim of increasing power generation.

EFCC Opens Case In Ex-Gov. Fayose’s N6.9bn Suspected Fraud Trial

According to the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, the prosecution on Monday opened its case before a Federal High Court, Lagos, in the criminal trial of ex-Governor of Ekiti, Ayodele Fayose, charged with N6.9bn fraud.
Fayose was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Octber 22 alongside his company — Spotless Investment Ltd on 11 counts.

Obafemi Hamzat,running mate of the Lagos State All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, says he has declared allegiance to the United States of America.Hamzat said this in the Form CF001 he submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The 54-year-old had disclosed in the form of voluntarily acquiring American citizenship.

Senators Sue Trump Over Appointment Of Justice Chief Whitaker

 

Three Democratic senators sued Monday to challenge President Donald Trump’s appointment of Matthew Whitaker as acting attorney general.
Amid concerns Whitaker was chosen to protect Trump from the Russia collusion investigation of Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller, the senators said the president violated the constitution by naming him to lead the Department of Justice without first seeking Senate confirmation.

30,000 Naira Minimum Wage: Buhari, Governors’ Meeting Ends In Deadlock

A meeting between President Muhammadu Buhari and the Nigerian Governor’s Forum to resolve the raging dispute over the proposed N30,000 National Minimum Wage ended in a deadlock on Monday in Abuja.
The meeting took place at the Presidential Villa.
The Chairman of the NGF, and Governor of Zamfara State, Mr Abdulazeez Yari, led a smaller team of governors to the meeting to speak for the Forum.

Bindow Promises All-Inclusive Government

 

Gov. Mohammed Bindow of Adamawa on Monday assured members of the All Progressives Party (APC) in Guyuk Local Government Area of Adamawa of constituting an all-inclusive government if re-elected in 2019.
Bindow made the promise while receiving former political office holders from Guyuk led by Mr Galian Yahga in Yola.
The governor, who spoke through Chief Felix Tangwami, Director-General of Bindow Campaign Organisation for 2019 Elections, said that he had enormous respect for Guyuk people.
