A national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, is one of those in the entourage of President Muhammadu Buhari to the 5th European Union-African Union Summit holding in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire on Wednesday and Thursday.
The President and members of his entourage arrived the Houphet Airport, Abidjan at exactly 5:16 pm local time (6:16pm Nigerian time) on Tuesday.
They were received by the President of Cote d’Ivoire, Alassane Ouattara.

Les Than 1000 Applicants Jostle For 135 Teaching Jobs In Lagos

No fewer than 1,000 applicants have applied for employment in the State Universal Basic Education Board Federal Teachers Scheme in Lagos.
The Head, Public Relations of SUBEB, Mr Seyi Akitoye, on Tuesday said that the board were still receiving more applications even after the November 24 deadline.
Akitoye said only 500 applicants would be shortlisted in Lagos out of which 135 teachers would be recruited by the Universal Basic Education Council in Abuja.

Kwara State Gov. Ahmed Urges New Council Chairmen To Find Solution To Salary Crisis

Gov. Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara has urged the new local government councils chairmen in the state to find a sustainable solution to salary crisis in their local governments.
Ahmed made the call on Tuesday during the swearing-in of 16 newly elected local government chairmen at the Government House, Ilorin. He also urged them to synergize with all relevant stakeholders to raise Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) to meet their statutory responsibilities.

Saraki Said Anti-Graft Agencies Looting Recovered Funds, Properties

Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has alleged that proceeds of corruption recovered by the Federal Government are being looted by anti-corruption agencies.He said it was the reason some countries lacked confidence in Nigeria, concerning the management of assets recovered from looters.
Saraki said this in his remarks at the ‘Strategic Retreat on Tracking the Progress of Anti-Corruption Bills in the National Assembly’ in Abuja on Tuesday.

North Korea fired an unidentified ballistic missile on Wednesday, according to the South Korean military Joint Chiefs of Staff.
