The national leader of the ruling APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has described President Muhammadu Buhari as “fit as fiddle” after he met the President at Abuja House in the UK yesterday.
A source revealed that Buhari told Tinubu that he’s not happy with the hardship in the country and how many Nigerians are suffering, hence he needs help from everyone.
Mr President is aware that he’s losing supporters due to the troubling economic situation and wants his friends and associates to help come up with solutions that could assist government navigate the challenges and get Nigeria out of recession and improve the lives of Nigerians.

The Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has hailed the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, for sending the name of Justice Walter Onnoghen to the Senate for confirmation as the substantive Chief Justice of Nigeria.
Osinbajo is the Acting President since President Muhammadu Buhari travelled for medical vacation.
Fayose said the action of the Acting President had saved the judiciary in particular and Nigeria in general from unnecessary tension.

The Federal Government in Abuja on Saturday, alerted Nigerians to the plan by a Boko Haram affiliate, Muslim Brotherhood Cell in Kogi State, to acquire bomb-making chemicals and high-calibre weapons to perpetrate acts of terror, including attacks on banks, arms depots and prisons.

Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, in a statement said intelligence monitoring showed that the cell was making frantic efforts to advance its IED-making capability through the acquisition of such chemicals as Sodium Azide (for producing improvised detonators), Potassium Chlorate (alternative to ammonium nitrate used for producing IEDs) and Aluminium Powder (a fuel source for amplifying explosions).

EFCC Recovers $9.75m & £750,000 From A Residence In Kaduna

Ibrahim Magu, Acting Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Thursday confirmed the recovery of $9.75m and £750,000 from a residence in Kaduna state.
He also confirmed that N1.25 billion was recovered from a public servant and said that all the monies were recovered within two weeks.
While Magu did not say whose residence it was, a tweet by Sahara Reporters on Thursday evening said that “$9.2m cash and £74,000” was recovered by the EFCC “after raiding the home of a former GMD of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Andrew Yakubu in Kaduna.”

The Nigeria Police Force said it recovered more than N111 million  from electoral officials alleged to have been bribed by Rivers state government to rig the December 10,2016 legislative rerun elections in the state.
An investigative panel set up by the Inspector-General of Police which presented its report in Abuja today said the money was recovered from 23 suspects allegedly bribed to rig the polls.

The chairman of the panel, DCP Damian Okoro disclosed that,” the sum total of N111.3 million was recovered from 23 electoral officials out of N360m.
