Kaduna State governor, Mukhtar Ramalan Yero has visited those injured while celebrating the victory of the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari shortly after the declaration of the results in Kaduna, last week.
Yero had earlier directed that those injured during jubilation across the state should be treated free in state hospitals while condoling with families of those that lost their lives.
He also visited the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, ABUTH, Zaria where 26 persons who were injured during the celebrations were on admission for various degrees of injuries on Easter day.
Conducting the governor and his entourage round the wards, the Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee, CMAC, of the hospital, Professor Abdullahi Mohammed said of the number admitted at the hospital, 12 persons had been discharged while the remaining 14 were still receiving treatments.
Yero told the hospital that the state government would pay all the hospital bills, while calling on people of the state to continue to live peacefully with one another irrespective of their perceived political and religious differences.
