Vice-President Namadi Sambo on Saturday commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for directing its officials to allow eligible voters with genuine Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to vote where card readers failed to function.
Sambo, who gave the commendation after casting his vote in Kaduna, described such decision as a welcome development.
He also expressed delight over the reported massive turn out of electorate across the country, saying Nigerian voters deserved commendation for their peaceful conduct at the polls.
Sambo, who voted alongside his wife, Hajiya Amina Sambo, expressed the hope that subsequent elections would be peaceful across the country
