The school authorities while petitioning him said, the
illegal landing of the helicopter destroyed some of its property and therefore
reminded him it was a private institution and not a public owned school.
“It has been brought to our notice that your helicopter
landed on the school grounds without the knowledge and consent of the school
authorities.
“We hereby remind you sir, that ours is a private
organization and landing the helicopter on our premises without permission
constitutes trespass,” part of the petition to the State Governor read.
Olajumoke Ojo & Co who signed the petition said the action
“caused considerable damage to underlying drainage pipes in the School Sports
Arena currently undergoing major construction works.”
“We, hereby, request that this should not be repeated. As you can imagine, this action, if repeated, could disrupt educational activities and pose considerable danger, if the school had been in session.”
