PDP Govs Make U-turn On Mua’zu, NWC

The governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have had a rethink on their earlier demand that the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party must resign, following the PDP’s poor performance in the just-concluded general elections.

Sources close to the party’s headquarters disclosed that they reached this decision at the weekend, after three arrowheads of the move made a call to the National Chairman, Adamu Mua’zu, in a bid to straighten issues.

However, it was gathered that two of the governors, one from the South-West and another one from the South-South have resolved to continue pushing for the overhaul of the party structure in preparation for a resurgence in 2019. They have vowed to use their states and zonal chapters of the party to remove the NWC before May 29.
