Cleric Warns Buhari To Avoid False Prophets

The General Overseer of Glory Restoration Church/Ministry International, Rev. Ephraim Ifionu, has warned the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, to be wary of false prophets and prophecies in order not to be misled.
Ifionu also urged Buhari to dedicate himself to God and sound leadership qualities that would distinguish him.

He gave the advice on Sunday in Lagos during the inauguration of the Akesan Worship Centre of the church.

The cleric said the first thing that would make a leader succeed was dedication to God.

He said, “The President-elect must avoid false prophets and prophecies that can mislead. He should also dedicate himself to God and live by consistent principles that will help him make sound decisions that will be in the interest of the nation.”

Ifionu also urged other ministers of God in the country to remain firm and not allow the pursuit of material wealth influence them into giving false prophecies.

The cleric, who quoted from the book of second Chronicles chapter two, while dedicating the church, pointed out that determination was paramount to the accomplishment of a worthy course.

He, therefore, advised the minister-in-charge of the parish, Evangelist Richard Tochukwu, and members of the church not to defile the temple, but abide by the ordinances of the tabernacle.

While commending Tochukwu for the completion of the edifice, the cleric said he (Tochukwu) was chosen by God, urging him not to be derailed by material wealth.

Earlier, the minister-in-charge, in his exhortation, had implored Christians to always put their trust in God.

Tochukwu said God was the secret behind the successful completion of the church, noting that it was not the intention of members to have such an edifice.

The Chairman of the church’s building committee, Mr. O’phil Olen, commended members of the church for their support and dedication towards the successful completion of the project.
