An Eight month old baby has been quarantined for suspected
Ebola case in Rivers state. The state Commissioner for Health, Sampson Parker disclosed this at a daily briefing
with journalists.
Dr.
Parker also revealed that the sister of the first dead victim in Port Harcourt,
Chinyere Enemuo, who tested positive and was quarantined, has been discharged
after she made full recovery following treatment. He said she is very much safe to relate with anyone.
The Health
Commissioner said his
team of medical experts is on the alert this week being the 3rd week of
incubation for most of those placed under surveillance.
The state Commissioner for Health also engaged
stakeholders in Ahoada East and Ahoada West Local Government Areas on a sensitization
programme on the Ebola Virus Disease.
