Miss Oluwabunmi Adeola Oladokun, the daughter of one Pastor Peter Oladokun, who ministers at The Mighty Hand of God, and another man were shot on Friday morning, September 12 by unknown gunmen.
The incident happened around 5:30 a.m. along Ejigbo
road in Orisumbare area of Idimu, Lagos State, PM News reports.
The deceased was said to be on her way to work in Victoria Island when she met her untimely death but the male victim whose identity is yet to be ascertained managed to escape with a gunshot injury and is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital in the area.
Though the cause of the attack is yet unknown, people in the neighbourhood said they heard her shout for help, before she was shot.
She was said to be the only daughter of her parents and her mother died recently.
Recounting what happened, her father, Pastor Oladokun, said a neighbour informed him about the incident and he rushed to the scene but when he got there, he saw his daughter already dead, lying in a pool of blood.
He then reported the matter to the police who have taken over the matter, while the family awaits the conclusion of autopsy report before her burial.
Lamenting the state of insecurity in the country, Pastor Oladokun called on the government to improve security because people are no longer safe.
Sources at the Shasha Police Division said the police have commenced investigation of the incident.
