The woman (name withheld), was said to have given birth through Caesarian Section three months ago.
The incident occurred at Agenebode, Estako East Local Government Area (LGA) of the state.
It was learnt that the suspect, who was living in the same neighborhood as the victim, gained entrance into the victim’s room through the window.
Police sources said the suspect grabbed the three-month old baby and threatened to kill the baby if the mother did not succumb to his sexual desires.
The victim, who succumbed to the teenager’s demand, reportedly raised the alarm after the victim ran away.
Neighbours were said to have heard the victim’s cry and apprehended the culprit at the entrance to his apartment before he was handed over to the police.
“I was sleeping when I heard a noise. The boy flashed a light on my face, took my baby and turned him upside down. I begged him but he insisted I should allow him, and then he will save my baby. So I agreed,” the nursing mother stated.
He was seen trying to get into his apartment when angry community members descended on him.
