I wonder why personal goals override national interest in Nigeria.
This, definitely, is the root cause of the issues in the country today. Against the backdrop of allegations that N100million was given to the
Chibok people who visited President Jonathan in Abuja, one of the
Chibok indigenes (name withheld) who met with the president over the
abducted Chibok schoolgirls still in Boko Haram captivity and the
welfare of the escaped girls, has said he was given N100, 000 by a man

N200, 000 each and later gave the others N100, 000 each, as he
complained that the funds made available to him were not enough. He said
that some of them were not given anything at all.
He blamed the confusion on the inability of government to come out openly and declare what it had
for the people.
Commenting on the security situation and safety of the people, he
said that the presence of security operatives in not only Chibok, but
also the entire Maiduguri was nothing to write home about. According to
him, the soldiers deployed to the area were too few to contain terrorism
