How I Slaughtered Yoruba Leader In Kano - Suspect

Luck ran out of 26 year old Abubakar Abdulrahman who killed a prominent Yoruba leader in Kano, some days back as he is helping the Police force with investigations concerning the death of 84 year old Chief Ganiyu Akanbi who was the suspect’s former boss before the unfortunate incident.

Vanguard reports that  Abubakar Abdulrahman gruesomely murdered the former octogenarian to death because he relieved him of his work, sometimes before the sad happening. Abubakar narrating what exactly went wrong, said: “I was forced to move against him when it became evident that he would recognise me, since he was my boss.” “I was not under influence of alcohol but principally wanted to steal money because I needed money. I had no option than to kill my former boss with a knife because he dismissed me from service some years back.”
The Commissioner of Police , Aderenle Shinaba while speaking to newsmen on the matter, shed more light on the sad  murder of the Kano-based Ibadan businessman, which shook the Yoruba community in Kano when it occurred on July 5 . He said:  “You will recall that on June 5 2014, the command received information that Alhaji Ganiyu Akanbi Bello was brutally murdered at his Race Course residence, Nasarawa GRA, Kano.
“Luck ran out on the culprit when he was arrested in his home at Badawa Quarters, Kano State. He was arrested after some clues were found at the scene of the crime.”
However, the Commisioner of Police also made it known in a related situation that the  command also arrested three suspected impersonators, Abubakar Umar, Aliyu Adamu and Mohammed Inuwa, who specialize in disguising as Kano Policemen, collecting money illegally from unsuspecting victims. The Commissioner made it known that while the arrested swindlers are cooling off at the Police station, three members of the group are still at large.
It would be recalled that just recently, a 20 year old Covenant University undergraduate was kidnapped and murdered by his friends.
