Pa Samaiye is currently receiving medical attention at a private hospital in Ijebu Ode.

His son, Obafemi, who spoke to newsmen at the hospital, said the kidnappers had demanded N20 million ransom, which was negotiated downward first to 10 million and later N1 million.

He said:  “The kidnappers first demanded for N20 million, later it was negotiated to N10 million and later N1million. But we did not pay any ransom before my father was freed by the policemen.”
