Following the recent victory recorded by the Nigerian army after it flushed out members of the Boko Haram terrorist group from Gulak, in the Madagali local government area of Adamawa state, the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) via its Twitter account has declared that Bara, Gulani local government area of neighboring Yobe state, was also cleared of insurgents.

Meanwhile, reports say that the residents of Gulak town burst into wild celebration in Yola on Friday, February 27, after they were informed that their homeland had been freed from the control of Boko Haram, which captured the town last year.
The liberation of Gulak comes a day after President Jonathan visited the troops at Mubi in Adamawa stateas well as Baga in Borno state.
There is hope that the insurgents will soon be completely defeated following President Goodluck Jonathan’s unveiling of three National security documents for the different security problems facing the country, especially the Boko Haram insurgenc
