According to Patoranking Biography, his real name is Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie with the stage name Patoranking( born 27th May 1990) to the family of Mr. Okorie,they used to reside at Ijegun Egba Satellite town,they reportedly relocated and moved to Ebute Metta that has a poor population and folks use to call that location “ghetto “it an area in lagos.The talented reggae sensation Attended Citizen Comprehensive College Epe .
As contained in Patoranking’s biography the singer started his career as a dancer,he was really a good dancer and he can dance to any tone especially ghetto made music and dance hall vibes .God directed his footsteps that was when he was now conscious of his full ability of singing .
Back then In 2003 he was an Afro hip hop group known as Da Flavour Squad and the he was the youngest, he left the group and went solo in other to move on to the next level in his music career .
After carrying out much reseach on Patoranking we found out that he got his name Patoranking by a Jamaican who has mad love for his music when he performed in jamaica some years ago. This part of his name “ranking” means highly respected and it was added to Pato to make Patoranking.
Fast forward to year 2014, Patoranking is now one of the big boys in Nigeria Music industry
Why He Left Timaya Dem Mama Records
Timaya revealed after he shot Alubarika vidoe for him and he became popular and getting some cool cash from the hit,he started ditching the label in January 2014.
At this point he stopped picking Timaya’s calls,He just left the label’; a source close to both parties revealed.
In a recent interview when Timaya was asked what happened between them this was what he said
‘Am bigger than one guy level, I don’t want to leave my career to push his career, he is on another p, I put him somewhere else, I don’t have issues with Patoranking, I handled him first, paid for his Alubarika’s video.
Timaya wata bam bam remix is out ,he features Sean Paul on this track and he said featuring Sea Paul cost him not less than 20 million naira.
