Woman Hacked to Death By Her In-laws in Agbor, Delta State

 
A 25-year old housewife, Chichi Dickson, married to one Dickson Onyemari has been hacked to death by her in-laws. The woman was allegedly murdered in the dining room of her husband’s house along Sunny Ojugboh Street, Agbor in Delta State and left in her pool of blood with a machete cut on her neck, police report has confirmed.

Police said they have arrested three suspects, Francis Onyemari, Hope Onyemari and Ekene Onyemari, whose blood stained cutlass and a military fez cap where identified at the scene of the murder.

Police Public Relations Officer, Delta State Police Command, DSP Celestina Kalu, stated that the police got wind of the incident following a report by the mother of the victim, Mrs. Blessing Udeze.

“As soon as Mrs. Blessing Udeze reported the alleged murder of her daughter at the police station in Agbor, detectives swung into action and arrested three male relations of the late Chichi Dickson”, the PPRO said.

The police spokesperson said that investigation is on-going to fish out anyone connected with the dastardly act, adding that the major culprit, Ekene Onyemari, has made useful statement that is aiding police investigation.
Meanwhile, the Delta State Police Command has assured members of the public that adequate security measures have been put in place for a peaceful Eid-El-Kabir celebration.

While wishing all Muslim residents in Delta State happy celebration, the Command appealed to the public to promptly report any suspicious movement and criminal elements to the police and other security agencies.

The Command warned criminals in all parts of the state to shun criminality as it will not spare any effort in ensuring that all miscreants are brought to justice.
