Guys can be mean which is what Denise Hardwick has learnt when she was swept off her feet by a Gambian husband who cheated on her and ran away with a younger lady. That didn’t stop Denise from loving another man because she is currently married to a Gambian young man again.
Friends had warned Denise when she first married Badou Colley who
was only interested in getting a British visa and within weeks, he was gone. It didn’t take Denise months who is 45 to hook up with another Gambian young man as a husband.
Denise said “I know people reading this might think I’m the stupidest woman in Britain but I’m not concerned,” she says.
“My heart tells me this is the right
thing to do – and I am going to follow my heart.” Until three years ago
Denise had never set foot in Gambia – and the idea of finding love there
never crossed her mind.
“I was in a real lull,” she says. “I’d lost my mother and brother to cancer and desperately needed some happiness.
“I’d never thought of going to Gambia, but its beaches looked wonderful online.”
That was how she got hooked to the country. When Badou left, she got
another guy from the same country and they are now living as husband and
wife.
