How 34year Old Man Died After Intervening In Landlord, Tenant Fight

 

                 A 34-year-old man, Johnson Okoye lost his life after he settled a dispute between his landlord, Musa Mohammed and a former tenant in Lagos.


According to Vanguard report, the 25-year-old former tenant, Allison Wemimo- Samson had vacated a room apartment he rented from the landlord at Jakande Estate, Ajah, and he promised to come back for part of his money as his rent had not expired before he moved.
On September 30, Allison went to meet his former landlord for his remaining money and a fight ensued between them, that was when the deceased came in and settled them.
Unfortunately for him, he was later attacked by the former tenant and his brother, now at large and he subsequently died.
Allison was arraigned at a Lagos Chief Magistrate’s Court sitting at Ebute-Metta on a two-count charge of conspiracy and murder preferred against him by the police.
Addressing the court, the prosecutor, Corporal Cyracuis Osuji said the peacemaker slumped and died after he had reported his attack at a nearby Police Station.
Magistrate E. B. Daodu ordered that the defendant be remanded in prison custody, pending legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecution, DPP
