The police on Tuesday arrested fourteen members
of Ebonyi State House of Assembly members loyal to Hon
Helen Nwobasi.
They were arrested in front of the State High Court and are currently be held at State Police Headquarters, Abakalaki, reports The Nation.

The lawmakerso were in court for further hearing
in a suit they filed to restrain the impeached Speaker of the House, Chukwuma Nwazunku from
parading himself as Speaker.
They were arrested when they were leaving the court premises. Notable among those arrested were the Minority Leader, Enyi C. Enyi (APC) and Minority Whip, Joseph Nwaobasi (APC), Deputy Speaker, Blaise Orji(PDP) and the Speaker Helen Nwaobasi.
