It was reported on July 10 that Nigerian singer, songwriter and record
producer, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2face unveiled the snippet
mix of his new album, ‘The Ascension’.
The album contains 17 tracks.
The award winning 2face Idibia has remained one of the most sought after singers in Nigeria.
With over 20 awards to his name, he has no doubt made an impact in the music industry, with different collaborations with international acts like: T-Pain, Mary J. Blige and others.
Tuface, who has just released his sixth album ‘Away and Beyond: The Ascension’, released his previous album ‘Away & Beyond’ in 2012, which also enjoyed massive airplay.
In 2004 he released an album ‘Face 2 Face’, ‘Grass 2 Grace’ (2006), ‘The Unstoppable’ (2008) and ‘The Unstoppable International Edition’ in the year 2010.
He was the first Nigerian artist to have an appropriately priced international album.
2face, who was previously part of a Plantashun Boyz, is signed on to his own record label ‘ Hypertek’, which he established after leaving Kennis Music.
Tuface, aside being an artist, is also involved in charity activities, as a way of giving back to the people.
He established the Tuface Idibia Reach-Out Foundation, for this purposes. In December 2010, the foundation collaborated with the Hands Project International for an Aids charity dinner.
Recently he was made a Red Cross Ambassador.
