Popular Nigerian Pastor & His Wife Arrested For Fraud in the UK! (Photos)

 


This is being called the UK's biggest education fraud case. 57 year old Pastor Samuel Kayode has a lot of explaining to do as he currently at the centre of a fraud investigation in London, after £4million of school funds which went missing from the account of the Haberdashers’
Aske’s Federation Trust in South London ended up in his personal accounts. It all started in October 2012 when officials discovered a large sum of money was missing from the academy's funds and Pastor Kayode was arrested, with his assets and those of his wife Grace, were frozen.
 
The man of God who happens to be a top pastor at the Christ Apostolic Church, South London, denied any wrongdoing and claimed all transactions had been authorised by the finance director before they were carried out, the court asked him to pay back the £4million with interests.
But till now, Kayode is yet to pay the said amount. It was during this trial that his wife, 53 died last year.

   It appeared that huge sums of school money had been paid into a bank account in Nigeria and a company called Samak, which is said to be run in Nigeria by Kayode’s second wife Yoni.
     
     He will be speaking with the detectives this week, but reports claim that he has spent most of the cash on extravagant lifestyle and buying a string of properties.

       The case was kept secret for almost two years now. Kayode started working with them in 1997 and rose to become accounts manager forthe whole chain. He was paid £57,000 ayear.
