The director of the Independent People Of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu was on Monday, November 23, arraigned at a magistrate court in Abuja by the State Security Services (SSS).
Before the judge took his sit in the court room, the accused person was captured greeting relatives, friends and supporters after being held by the
SSS since Sunday, October 18, when he was arrested on arrival in Nigeria from the United Kingdom.
Among those who greeted Kanu were three women who’s identities could not be ascertained at the time. The accused in excitement hugged his supporters among many others including men, they also exchanged pleasantries.

The case against Kanu was later adjourned to Tuesday, December 1, by the chief magistrate, Shuaibu Usman after the SSS prayed for the discontinuation of the case due to fresh facts from investigations.
The SSS said the facts found so far has shown that the magistrate court lacks the jurisdiction to hear the case against Kanu.
Meanwhile, supporters of Nnamdi Kanu, the director of Radio Biafra, staged a protest in Abuja, Nigeria’s federal capital, to press for the release of their leader.
State governors and opinion leaders in the south east have agreed to set up a committee to intercede between the federal government and pro-Biafrans over the recent agitation for an independent Biafra state.
The recent and renewed agitation for an independent state escalated after the arrest and continued detention of Nnamdi Kanu, the director of Radio Biafra.
