One Feared Dead, Three Injured On Lagos/Ibadan Expressway

One person was presumed dead while three others were injured, yesterday, on Lagos/Ibadan Expressway, during an autocrash involving a Toyota RAV 4 and an unidentified truck.
 The incident reportedly occurred at about 8.25am, at Ogere, Ogun State axis, near the proposed Mile 12 market, when the Toyota RAV 4 with number plate AGL 743 EM, with four occupants (two males and two females), stopped to catch a glimpse of an accidented vehicle being towed by officials of
Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps TRACE. It was learned that due to reckless driving, the driver of the unidentified truck was said to have lost control and hit the Rav 4 from the rear pushing it into the ditch. Although rescue operation was immediately carried out by the officials but a female occupant was ‘feared dead while others sustained injuries and were rushed to Skylark Hospital for medical attention. The incident which was confirmed by TRACE Imagemaker, Babatunde Akinbiyi was said to have caused a traffic jam on the axis but was well managed by other law enforcement agents like the Nigeria Police Force and Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC). Akinbiyi said the accidented vehicle was traveling from Lagos heading for Ibadan while the body of the deceased was deposited at a private mortuary in Ipara town, Ogun State.
