Arrangements are at the top gear for the 28th coronation anniversary celebration of his Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse II CON, the Olu of Warri.
According to the chairman of the anniversary committee, Chief (Dr.) E.A. Tetsola JP, the Oluabajaje of Warri Kingdom, the celebration will commence from Friday May 1, to Sunday May 3, 2015.
Also in a release sent to Saturday Vanguard and signed by the Chairman, Publicity Committee, Emma Okotie-Eboh, said the programme of event will commence with a praise and worship session by 10.00 p.m. at the palace ground. The event will be followed by free healthcare services and a drama presentation at Main Hall, Federal Government College, Warri.
Emma Okotie-Eboh stated that on Saturday, there would be traditional homage paying; cultural displays; traditional dances at the Olu’s palace at 3.00 p.m and followed by the Olu of Warri Lawn Tennis tournament at Warri Club.
He disclosed that there will be a thanksgiving service at Foursquare Gospel Church, Olu Palace, Warri followed by traditional dances, on Sunday among other activities.
He however advised that all groups and individuals who wish pay homage to his Majesty to register with the palace Secretary before the day.
