PDP Expresses Satisfaction With Results So Far Announced By INEC



                  NATIONAL leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Monday hailed the results of the eight states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) announced so far by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, just as it Congratulated President Goodluck Jonathan for leading so far.
Addressing Journalists in Abuja Monday, PDP National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh said that the focus was meeting the constitutional requirement of having 25 percent of two- third of the states, just as he said that the PDP does not engage in speculation.


The first eight  states as announced by INEC were  Oyo, Osun, Ondo, Ogun, Nassarawa, Kogi, Enugu, Ekiti and FCT.

Metuh who also disclosed that the party has directed its members to file petition to INEC in areas where there were  problems, however commended Nigerians for voting for Jonathan, adding, “if this pattern continues, it means Nigerians love the President.

Whoever wins must have high number of votes cast, so far the PDP is leading in the 8 states and have satisfy 25 percent requirement. On account of result released so far, we congratulate our president.

“We are not interested in who won in the states but 25 percent recorded in the states.”

Metuh who explained that the PDP has refrained from making comments, but consequent upon the INEC announcement of results, which commenced yesterday in the afternoon, “it is appropriate to talk.”
