Why Man Wants Court To Release Daughter's Ra pist

 



                      Lagos-based father of a girl allegedly raped by a middle-aged man asks court to release the suspected criminal.

According to Punch, the man explained to an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrate’s Court that the alleged rapist should be set free because his daughter was not infected by him.
The 14-year-old rape victim underwent medical test, which showed that she was free from any disease. The man said he did not want to continue with the proceedings:
“I don’t want to have any case with him. He has a mental problem. A medical test has shown that my daughter is okay. I am not interested in pursuing any case against him.”
Upon arrest, Oyetiola Olatunju was arraigned on two counts of rape believed to have been carried out July 3, 2014.
The case was adjourned to October 8 and the suspect was granted a bail in the sum of N300, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
Several outrages cases of rape have recently taken place in Lagos.
In one of them the 5-year-old girl defiled by one simply identified as Okafor in the uncompleted building, begged police to give her a gun so she could kill the offender. This was a clear indication that the little girl was badly hurt not only physically but also emotionally.
In another development a suspect allegedly had sexual intercourse with his 11-year-old step daughter, however the defendant pleaded not guilty to the rape charge and was released on bail.
