Stuart Hatton Wins Mr. Gay World 2014
In the international tournament one Stuart Hatton received one of the best experiences of his life as he was crowned Mr Gay World 2014.
The 28-year-old who had previously received Mr Gay UK prize, beat the rival from Cyprus and later wrote on his Twitter page:
“I WON MR GAY WORLD!!! This is just
the beginning. Thanks to everyone who believed and supported my equality
campaign #watchthisspace.”

According to New Now Next portal, the young model and dance teacher Hatton competed fro the title with 32 gay men from all over the world to get finally receive the desired award at the ceremony held in Rome, Italy.

Speaking about his plans, Hatton said he wanted to draw public attention to the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) communities worldwide:
“I am now able to use my voice to
help those in countries around the world who have no voice or equality
rights, such as people in Malaysia and Iran. We are all human, and all
gay people around the world deserve the same human rights.”

Meanwhile it is worth mentioning that in the beginning of the year Nigeria’s President Goodluck Jonathan signed the bill outlawing homosexual relationships in the country. The new law stipulates for 14-year imprisonment for those who violate it. While Jonathan’s move was highly criticized by the world leaders and gay rights groups, ordinary Nigerian seemed to have warmly welcomed the law.
