EFCC to invite Mu’azu, Obanikoro over Omokore’s car gifts

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is set to invite the immediate past Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu; and a former Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, over the car gifts they allegedly received from oil baron, Jide Omokore.
Already, the EFCC has detained the Deputy Chairman of the PDP, Prince Uche Secondus, since Tuesday for allegedly receiving 23 exotic cars (worth N302m) from Omokore.
However, a source within the PDP told our correspondent that the vehicles distributed by Omokore to several party leaders were far more than 23 as the vehicles were meant to be distributed across the country.

APC Thanks PDP For Handing Over Power After 16 Years

                    The All Progressives Congress, APC, has thanked the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for handing over power after ruling the country for 16 years.
“We would like to say a big ‘thank you’ to @PdpNigeria for handing over to us, after ‘ruling’ for 16yrs. A new Nigeria begins,” APC posted on Twitter.

Great!!! PDP Governorship Aspirant Defects To APC

                    Alhaji Aminu Kani, a People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant in Jigawa, on Sunday defected to the opposition All Progressive Congress (APC).
                   Kani made the declaration during an APC rally at Matsaro ward in Hadejia.The governorship hopeful noted that the APC had better programmes designed to ensure good governance and improve the socio-economic well-being of the people.

                   A group, Eko Liberation Movement (ELM), has alerted to a plan to procure and tender a fake medical report to discredit the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Akinwumi Ambode.
                In a statement by its convener, Gbolahan Agboola, the group said: “A faceless group is set to procure a fake medical report to discredit Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, as being unsound in mind, body and spirit.
           

Fayose--OBJ Is Nigeria’s Main Enemy

                        Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has described former President Olusegun Obasanjo as the number one enemy of Nigeria, saying: “he is a confusionist who has lost his status as a statesman and Nigerians should simply ignore him.”
                       The governor, who expressed confidence that President Goodluck Jonathan will be re-elected for a second term, added that: “Obasanjo is only fighting President Jonathan because he prevented him (Obasanjo) from ruling Nigeria from his Ota Farm.”

                Apparently shaken by ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo’s striping comments on President Goodluck jonathan, some Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leaders are pushing for his suspension from the party.
                They said Obasanjo’s diatribe amounts to anti-party activities.
But Jonathan, who is the leader of the party, is yet to accede to the demand of the aggrieved PDP stalwarts, including some members of the Board of Trustees (BoT).

                 According to new report by  Punch, Presidency and the Peoples Democratic Party were already commencing tactics aimed at frustrating the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission-INEC to make use of card readers for the 2015 elections.
Investigations by our correspondent in Abuja on Monday and Tuesday, indicated that the ruling party and the Presidency were already looking at the possibility of mobilising Nigerians to demand that the use of card readers for the election be stopped.

Speaking at a presidential media chat on Wednesday, the President said he has not told anybody that he wants to remove the INEC boss.

Ayo Fayose Blasts OBJ For Endorsing GMB

                          Former president Olusegun Obasanjo on Wednesday came under attacks from Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, for endorsing  the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari.
                         Obasanjo had on Tuesday while launching his latest book, “My Watch” in Nairobi, Kenya, endorsed Buhari as the right man to lead Nigeria as from May 29 this year.
But Buhari’s endorsement by Obasanjo did not go down well with Fayose who described the former president’s action as “political somersault.”

               Agroup, Awori Development Association, has endorsed the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos, Akinwunmi Ambode, and other APC candidates.
