Aviation Professionals Reject FG’s Plan To Concession Airports

  Aviation professionals have rejected the decision of the Federal Government to concession the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos and the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
 The groups spoke yesterday under the aegis of the Association of Nigerian Aviation Professionals (ANAP) and the Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP), Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) Branch. Vice President Yemi Osinbajo had recently said the Federal Executive Council, FEC, has approved the concessioning of the Lagos and Abuja International Airports for better management.

Magu also lamented the non-compliance with regulations on money laundering and other related offences by some banks and financial institutions.

PDP Tells Fayose Not To Waste Time On 2019 Presidency,

The Peoples Democratic Party has told Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State not to waste his resources on his presidential ambition, saying the party’s candidate for the 2019 election will come from the North.
The party said all its members were aware of the zoning formula it adopted for both its presidential ticket and the position of the national chairman.
Fayose had sent letters to some leaders of the party to inform them about his decision to run for the Presidency on the platform of the PDP.

Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission on Tuesday arrived the National Assembly Complex to notify the embattled lawmaker representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Senator Dino Melaye, on the petition the commission received from his constituents to recall him.
The officials, who dropped loads of documents at the door to Melaye’s office, waited while the lawmaker was in the Senate chamber.
