Former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has said that the Peoples Democratic Party sank when the former chairman of the party, Ahmadu Ali and himself left the party.
Obasanjo, who was also a former chairman, Board of Trustees of the party, said when he was in the saddle as the president of Nigeria and Ali was the chairman, the PDP controlled 30 states out of the 36 states in the country including Federal capital territory.

Barack and Michelle Obama have signed a deal to publish their memoirs with New York-based Penguin Random House, in a coveted contract reportedly worth tens of millions of dollars.

America’s first African American president is already the author of two memoirs and a children’s book.

Reveals' Justice Onnoghen--How I Will Run Judiciary

Justice Walter Onnoghen who appeared before the Senate for screening and confirmation as the substantive Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) has vowed that it would be impossible for anybody to cow and pocket the judiciary under his watch.

In response to questions on the Senate’s concerns on judicial absurdities, particularly conflicting judgement, he said: ”Conflicting judgement are bound to happen because the processes are different and the lawyers can adopt any of the choices and the system of Nigeria Judiciary has a way of regulating itself.”

Senate’s Visit Will Aid Campaign Against Xenophobia – Nigerian Community

The Nigerian community in South Africa says the plan by the  Senate to send a  delegation to  that country over the xenophobic attacks is a welcome development.
Mr Ikechukwu Anyene, the President of the Nigeria Union, South Africa, told the News Agency of Nigeria on telephone from Pretoria on Wednesday that the visit would add value to the campaign against xenophobia.
